At El Tesoro Monteverde in Canitas, 150m north of the Jimenez Bakery. Arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
No, complete beginners are welcome. Experienced riders can request a livelier pace on the open pasture sections.
Riders must be at least 7 years old and under 270 lbs (122 kg), for the horses' welfare and rider safety.

The ride winds through shaded forest paths and out into open pasture with sweeping views of the Monteverde countryside, following the same trails our family has used since the farm's earliest days.
Horses are matched to each rider's size and experience, and the pace adjusts to the group — a relaxed walk for first-timers, a livelier trot for confident riders on the open stretches. Every horse and every guide is part of the family operation, not a rotating rental fleet.
