Your pace, our trails

Ten hours, no schedule to keep

The Day Pass hands you a trail map and lets you explore our 65-acre reserve at your own rhythm — no tour time to catch, no group to keep pace with. Stop as long as you like wherever something catches your eye.

Trails range from easy, flat paths near the entrance to gentle inclines further into the forest, so you can pick a route that matches your energy and the time you have. Most visitors spend anywhere from two to six hours on the property.

Along the way

What's on the property

A mix of forest, pasture and open sky across our 65 acres.

  • Forest trails

Shaded paths through cloud forest edge, with birdsong overhead and the occasional wildlife sighting.

  • Open pastures

Wide-open fields with sweeping countryside views, a change of pace from the forest canopy.

  • Scenic viewpoints

A few spots along the trail network open up to views across the Monteverde valley on clear days.

  • Wildlife

Birds, butterflies and, if you're lucky, monkeys or a coati crossing the trail — no guarantees, but always a chance.

  • Trail map included

You'll get a map at check-in showing the different routes, so you can choose based on time and fitness level.
